TULSA, Okla. — Police say they arrested a man for stealing prescription pills and was caught with a drug pipe in his mouth.

Tulsa police say Juan Huerta tried to steal a television at the east central village apartments.

“Quit that here. don’t come over here with that,” ha nearby resident, Patrick Harvey said.

Police say he tried to steal a television but settled for pills.

One person was at home during the burglary but did not realize Huerta was inside.

“Be safe, stay in school have fun,” said Harvey.

That’s what Harvey said after he heard about what happened.

“My kids won’t play outside because they are afraid too and I will not let them unless one of us adults are outside,” she said.

Police also said Huerta was taken down by a neighbor and off duty bounty hunter who they say conveniently had a pair of handcuffs with him to use on the suspects.

Huerta was arrested for two counts of first-degree burglary

Another woman, who did not want to be identified, told FOX23 she and her neighborhood deserve better.

Huerta was booked on two counts of first-degree burglary and assault and battery as well as public intoxication.
